Higher Education Support Act 2003 Guidelines

The HESA 2003 guidelines are delegated legislation authorised by the Act and must be presented to both Houses of the Parliament. They can be disallowed (vetoed) by a motion agreed to by either House of Parliament within 15 sitting days of tabling.

FEE-HELP Guidelines

The FEE-HELP Guidelines contain:

  • listed professional occupations and assessing bodies specified in sections 104-55 and 104-60 of the Higher Education Support Act 2003 (HESA), for the purposes of determining FEE-HELP entitlement for a bridging course for overseas trained professionals.

  • the requirements with which Open Universities Australia Pty Ltd (formerly Open Learning Australia) must comply as a condition of its students being entitled to FEE-HELP.

The FEE-HELP Guidelines are effective from 1 January 2005.
